INDUSTRY'S LOWEST ON-RESISTANCE ANALOG SWITCHES HAVE GUARANTEED +1.8V OPERATION
SUNNYVALE, CA-June 14, 2001-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4714/MAX4715/MAX4716, the industrys lowest on-resistance, low- voltage analog switches. These parts offer low 0.18 on-resistance (RON) flatness and total harmonic distortion, making them ideal for audio applications.
The MAX4714 is a single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) switch and offers 0.8 RON (max) and 0.18 RON flatness (max) at +3V supply. The MAX4715/MAX4716 are single-pole/single-throw switches and offer 0.4 RON (max) and 0.09 RON flatness (max) at a +3V supply. The MAX4715 has a normally open (NO) switch input and the MAX4716 has a normally closed (NC) switch input.
These products are the only analog switches to feature a full electrical characteristic table at +1.8V. RON is a low 2.5 for the MAX4714 and 1.2 for the MAX4715/MAX4716.
The devices feature fast switching speeds of 18ns tON and 12ns tOFF at +3V supply. The MAX4714 features guaranteed break-before-make switching. The devices operate from a +1.6V to +3.6V single supply and are +1.8V CMOS logic compatible when using a +3V supply.
The MAX4714 is available in a 6-pin SC70 package, and the MAX4715/MAX4716 are available in 5-pin SC70 packages. All products are offered in the extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). Prices start at $0.90 (1000-up, FOB USA).
