LVDS RECEIVER IN SC70 PACKAGE
SUNNYVALE, CA-June 5, 2001-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the newest and smallest member of the Maxim LVDS family: the MAX9115 LVDS line receiver in a SC70 package. At only 2mm x 2.1mm in size (half the size of a SOT23 package), the MAX9115 translates LVDS to LVTTL/LVCMOS in the least-possible space. This tiny receiver conforms to the ANSI TIA/EIA-644 standard, which makes it ideal for minimizing power, EMI, and bit-error rates in the next-generation clock/data distribution networks of cell-phone base stations, central office switches, networking switches/routers, DSLAMs, and other communications equipment.
The MAX9115 consumes only 7mA supply current from a single +3.3V supply, while operating over the -40?C to +85?C temperature range. Its ?50mW input differential threshold enables it to reliably receive the minimum 250mV voltage swing specified by the LVDS standard. Ultra-low 350ps (max) pulse skew reduces bit errors by minimizing duty-cycle distortion. The MAX9115 is available in a 5-pin SC70 package. Refer to the MAX9111/MAX9113 MAX9110/MAX9112 data sheet for LVDS receivers in SO and SOT23 packages and to the MAX9110/MAX9112 for LVDS drivers. Prices start at $0.91 (1000-up, FOB USA).
